ELENA STURK-LUSSIER is a screenwriter, director, and independent filmmaker from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her films have screened at Cinemania, Festival Courts d’un soir, FOGFEST, and the Gimli International Film Festival, where she won the RBC Pitch Competition in 2021.

Her latest projects include the bilingual comedy-drama series LES FAILLITES D'ASTRID, streaming on Radio-Canada in January 2026, as well as SLURP, an erotic thriller made by an entirely women and non-binary cast & crew. Most recently, Elena was selected to pitch her feature AFTER THE END at the Frontières co-production market at Fantasia Film Festival, as well as participate in the GEMS Genre Film Lab and RIFF’s Talent Lab.

Elena also works as a writer-director for hire, and has worked on many documentary, lifestyle, and animated youth series. She holds a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh, and splits her time between Vancouver and Winnipeg.
