ELENA STURK-LUSSIER is a Gémeaux award-winning screenwriter, director, and independent filmmaker from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her work has screened at Cinemania, Festival Courts d’un soir, FOGFEST, T.O WebFest, and the Gimli International Film Festival, where she won the RBC Pitch Competition in 2021.

Her latest projects include the bilingual comedy-drama series LES FAILLITES D'ASTRID, now streaming on Radio-Canada, as well as SLURP, a gastronomic thriller. She is currently developing her next short-form series LE GARAGE with funding from the Independent Production Fund, and is in post-production on a short documentary film.

Recently, Elena was selected to pitch her feature AFTER THE END at the Frontières co-production market at Fantasia Film Festival, as well as participate in the GEMS Genre Film Lab, the Reykjavik International Film Festival Talent Lab, and the Moonlighter Film Camp at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

Elena also works as a writer-director for hire, and has worked on many documentary, lifestyle, and animated youth series. She holds a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh.
